FOUNded 2021.

I always dreamed of a career in fashion and I’ve had one. One as an independent designer, one as a boutique owner and one as a stylist. A move to the UK from South Africa, my home country, shook things up. In 2020 my husband and I left life on land and moved onto a canal boat. We lived on our floating home for just over three years. This up-cycling project came about as a need to fulfil my creative desires, my passion for design and the need for the project to be compact - think tiny home living - which translated to one off pieces and limited production. It’s niche. It was born organically out of an exploration in my own personal style and the garments that serve me the most, as well as the need to use existing resources - you don't downscale an entire life to fit onto a boat and come away without being a changed, more ‘consumption-conscious’ person. Post boat life, I now create from my flat in London, and what once served a moment in time that felt ‘small,’ has become much, much bigger.

WHAT I BELIEVE IN

I believe in shirts. Well made oversized, second hand men’s shirts. Modern design. I believe in just enough detail that people look twice but not too much that you’ll ever be “over it.” Blazers. I stand by them as the source of all my power. We all have power. I believe that clothing helps us tap into that. I believe in clothing that lives all year ‘round, pieces that you pick up day after day after day. Versatility, that is the key. I believe in the sustainable option, I believe in supporting the battles that feel beyond my control. I believe in trying to be better and also just trying in general. Trying something new, trying on old as if it is new, trying to make an idea a reality. So I take my beliefs and I try them on for you here. I wear my heart on my shirt sleeve and I hope that for the people who find it, that it’s their belief too..
